Following this year’s Grammys, a video of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez appearing to fight went viral—as did memes of the Good Will Hunting actor looking miserable at the event. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published Thursday (March 16th), Affleck shared what they said to one another.

"I saw [GRAMMY host Trevor Noah approach] and I was like, 'Oh, God.' They were framing us in this shot, but I didn’t know they were rolling. I leaned into her and I was like, 'As soon they start rolling, I’m going to slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor,'” he said.

Affleck continued, “She goes, 'You better f**king not leave.' That’s a husband-and-wife thing. I mean, some of it is, I’m like, 'All right, who is this act?' Like, I don’t keep up. My wife does, obviously. And yeah, it is your wife’s work event."

He also admitted that he has been bored at award shows before. "I’ve gone and been bored. I’ve gone to award shows and been drunk, a bunch. Nobody ever once said I’m drunk," he said. The Gone Girl actor, who is a recovered alcoholic, commented on how some people thought he might be drinking again.

"I thought, that’s interesting. That raises a whole other thing about whether or not it’s wise to acknowledge addiction because there’s a lot of compassion, but there is still a tremendous stigma, which is often quite inhibiting," he said. "I do think it disincentivizes people from making their lives better."

During an interview with Haute Living New York published Wednesday (March 15th), Brian Cox shared his thoughts on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Cox believes Markle had “the childhood dreams of marrying Prince Charming and all that s–t we see as fantasy that could be our lives in our dreams.”

The Succession star added, “You can’t go into a system where somebody’s already been trained to behave in a certain kind of way and then just expect them to cut themselves off. I mean, she knew what she was getting into.”

Cox also shared that he thinks it’s time to “move on” from the royal family altogether. “In my opinion, we shouldn’t have a monarchy,” he said. “It’s not viable; it doesn’t make any sense. F–k it.”

About Markle and Harry, the Braveheart actor previously told Good Morning Britain: “I don’t know what went on, but something clearly traumatic went on for the pair of them … I don’t think they made it up, I don’t think it’s false. I think it’s true and should’ve been rectified, and it hasn’t.”

While promoting his documentary Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie at South by Southwest on Tuesday (March 14th), Michael J. Fox discussed how his Parkinson's diagnosis has affected his life. "Parkinson's sucks — but it's a great life," he said.

The Back to the Future actor received his diagnosis when he was just 29 years old in 1991. "I have no regrets," Fox said. "You do what you have to do, but you do not want to kill yourself. And that's when I stopped."

The Family Ties actor added, "Pity is a benign form of abuse. I can feel sorry for myself, but I don't have time for that … There is stuff to be learned from this, so let's do that and move on."

Netflix's Addams Family spinoff Wednesday turned out to be a big hit, and Jenna Ortega shared with U.K.'s The Times recently that she almost didn't star in it.

"I got the email, passed on it," she told the outlet. "I had done so much TV in my life. All I've ever wanted to do is film … You have to prove yourself. KYLE CHRISLEY IS ARRESTED FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Two months after Todd and Julie Chrisley reported to prison, their son Kyle Chrisley was arrested in Tennessee. Kyle was booked for felony aggravated assault before posting bond set at $3,000 on Tuesday (March 14th). TMZ reports that, according to Smyrna police, his boss claims he threatened to kill him before beating him up. Kyle also allegedly had a fixed-blade knife.

MATTHEW LAWRENCE CLARIFIES COMMENTS ABOUT WANTING KIDS WITH ROZONDA ‘CHILLI' THOMAS: In an interview with E! News published Wednesday (March 15th), Matthew Lawrence amended the comments he made earlier this month about planning to have kids with TLC's Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas. Speaking about his older brother, Joey Lawrence, he said, "Joe and I were commiserating about this plan that we had to have children together … when we were growing up. And I missed the first go-around and now he's starting a new family and I was thinking, ‘Man, it'd be great if we could do it again, when I didn't have the chance to raise a family together,'" he said. During the show, she said about Donald Trump: "People who still believe that he got, you know, gy—d somehow in the election." RYAN REYNOLDS SELLS MINT MOBILE TO T-MOBILE: On Wednesday (March 15th), Ryan Reynolds and T-Mobile released a joint statement announcing that the company has acquired the Deadpool actor's phone company Mint Mobile. "Mint Mobile is the best deal in wireless and today's news only enhances our ability to deliver for our customers," the statement said. In Paris Hilton's highly anticipated book Paris: The Memoir, published on Tuesday (March 14th), the Simple Life star reveals that she was groomed by an eighth-grade teacher.

Hilton said the "handsome young" teacher was nicknamed "Mr. Abercrombie," and that he told her he had a "crush" on her when she was in her early teens. She writes that he gave her his number and told her to keep their relationship a secret.

ACADEMY PRESIDENT SAYS WILL SMITH CAN GET HIS OSCAR ENGRAVED: On Saturday's (March 11th) episode of The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Janet Yang said Will Smith can still have his Oscar engraved. "He earned the Oscar. He should have his name engraved on it," she said. "I don't know if he should personally come. But, yeah, we can arrange."

ANDY COHEN ISSUES PSA ABOUT UPCOMING EPISODE OF ‘VANDERPUMP RULES:' Following all of the Scandoval drama that has unfolded recently, Andy Cohen announced on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live that Wednesday's (March 15th) episode of Vanderpump Rules is "shocking." He wanted fans to know that footage of a conversation between Raquel Leviss, Lala Kent, and Katie Maloney "was not touched." The Watch What Happens Live host said, "Guys, you're going to watch Wednesday's episode. You are going to think that it was recut. Okay? It was not recut. This was the episode." He added, "The conversations that go on between Katie and Lala and Raquel are not to be believed in the light of what has come out … This is how it was going to be shown … which makes it all the more shocking. MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY AND WOODY HARRELSON WILL REUNITE FOR NEW COMEDY SERIES: Deadline reports that True Detective stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson will be together again in a forthcoming Apple TV+ series by The Big Door Prize creator David West Read. The series centers on the pair's "strange and beautiful bond," which is "tested when their combined families attempt to live together on Matthew's ranch in Texas."

ANDREW GARFIELD AND FLORENCE PUGH TO STAR IN ‘WE LIVE IN TIME:' According to The Hollywood Reporter, Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh are set to star in a StudioCanal love story titled We Live In Time. This comes after the pair presented together at the 95th Academy Awards, which fans couldn't get enough of. "I'm ready for my florence pugh and andrew garfield movie," one person wrote on Twitter after the ceremony. Wish granted!

Viewers were surprised to see that actors such as Paul Sorvino, Leslie Jordan, and Anne Heche were left out of the "In Memoriam" segment at the Oscars on Sunday night (March 12th). Even Charlbi Dean was missing from the segment, and she played the lead in Triangle of Sadness, which was nominated for Best Picture.

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion star Mira Sorvino commented on the lack of a tribute for her father. "Paul Sorvino was one of the greatest actors in cinematic history in Hollywood. It is unconscionable that he would be left out of the In Memoriam segment of the Oscars," she said in a statement on Monday (March 13th). "It's a three-hour show, they can't give a couple more minutes to get it right? Paul Sorvino gave decades to this industry and was loved by all."

Paul's wife Dee Dee added, "Paul was not the only deserving soul left out, and a QR Code is not acceptable. The Academy needs to issue an apology, admit the mistake and do better. Paul Sorvino deserves better, the audience deserves better. Is the Academy so jaded they forget people who are loved, who have given their hearts to this industry?"

In response to this criticism, the Academy released a statement that reads, "The Academy receives hundreds of requests to include loved ones and industry colleagues in the Oscars In Memoriam segment. An executive committee representing every branch considers the list and makes selections for the telecast based on limited available time. All the submissions are included on A.frame and will remain on the site throughout the year."

Hugh Grant's red-carpet interview with Ashley Graham went viral following the Oscars Sunday night (March 12th)—largely because it couldn't have been more awkward.

The Love Actually star offered curt responses to Graham's questions, no matter how much the model tried to turn things around. Fans took notice and shared their thoughts on social media.

"Hugh Grant is the biggest D bag for this interview. Hugh, If you don't want to be there go home. Worst Oscars interviews ever," one Twitter user wrote.

OSCARS VIEWERSHIP IS UP 12 PERCENT IN 2023: Deadline reports that 2.1 million more people tuned in for the Oscars on Sunday (March 12th) than in 2022. 18.7 million people watched this year's show, compared with 16.6 million last year—an increase of 12%. However, the outlet reports that this is still low in the grand scheme of Oscars history. Still, with only 10.4 million tuning in for the 2021 event, it's an improvement.

DWAYNE JOHNSON COMMENTS ON DC UNIVERSE DROPPING HENRY CAVILL'S SUPERMAN: In a recent interview with Variety, Dwayne Johnson commented on Henry Cavill's DC exit, despite returning as Superman in Black Adam. "It's almost like when you have a pro football team and your quarterback wins championships and your head coach wins championships and then a new owner comes in and says, ‘Not my coach, not my quarterback. I'm going to go with somebody new,'" Johnson said.
