Aaron Sorkin revealed to the New York Times Wednesday (March 22nd) that he had a stroke last November while writing his new Broadway musical Camelot.

He said, "Mostly it was a loud wake-up call. I thought I was one of those people who could eat whatever he wanted, smoke as much as he wanted, and it's not going to affect me. Boy, was I wrong."

According to the outlet, the Newsroom writer still can't taste food, slurred his words for around a month after the event and until recently couldn't sign his own name.

He has since quit smoking cold-turkey.

Gisele Bundchen shot down rumors that she gave Tom Brady an ultimatum that lead to their divorce in the latest issue of Vanity Fair.

The model said that she never told her quarterback husband that he had to retire from football and said the rumores were both untrue and "very hurtful."

Gwyneth Paltrow's children will take the sand in their mother's ski crash trial.

Page Six reports the Oscar winner's attorney, Stephen Owens, told jurors Tuesday (March 21st) that they will "hear from" both 18-year-old Apple Martin and 16-year-old Moses Martin. The Goop founder's husband, Brad Falchuk, will also testify.

All three family members were present during the 2016 Park City, Utah trip in which Paltrow allegedly crashed into retired doctor Terry Sanderson. The former optometrist claims that the incident left him with a traumatic brain injury, broken ribs, and a loss of enjoyment of life.

Paltrow is countersuing for $1 in damages, alleging that Sanderson actually mowed her down.

Lea Michele missed Wednesday's (March 22nd) performance of Funny Girl because her 2-year-old son Leo was checked into the hospital for "a scary health issue."

The Glee alum wrote on her Instagram story "I'm so sorry but unfortunately, I will be out of @FunnyGirlBwy today. We are at the hospital with our son dealing with a scary health issue that I need to be here for. I'm so sorry. Please send us some love and strength."

TOM CRUISE REPORTEDLY ESTRANGED FROM SURI: Tom Cruise reportedly remains estranged from his daughter Suri Cruise. A source told Page Six exclusively that the Mission: Impossible star has not seen his 16-year-old in very long time and is not a part of her life. Tom shares Suri with his ex-wife, Katie Holmes. The former couple divorced in 2011.

SCOUT WILLIS EXCITED TO BE AN AUNT: Scout Willis can't wait for her big sister, Rumor, to give birth. The 31-year-old told E! News at the Fashion Trust Awards, "I'm desperately excited. 'SMASH' HEADS TO BROADWAY: Smash is heading to Broadway for the 2024/2025 season. Producers Robert Greenblatt, Neil Meron and Steven Spielberg announced Wednesday (March 22nd) that the adaptation of the NBC musical drama is heading to the Great White Way. Although the score will be written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who wrote over two dozen songs for the television show, the stage iteration will "depart liberally" from the series.

JAMIE LEE CURTIS TO GUEST STAR ON 'THE STICKY': Jamie Lee Curtis has already landed her first post-Oscar role. The Everything Everywhere All At Once star will join the Amazon comedy series The Sticky as a guest star. According to Variety, production is already underway on the series inspired by the true story of the "Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist," in which 70 percent of the world's global maple syrup supply was stolen.

HBO MAX DEVELOPING HEIDI FLEISS DRAMA: Variety reports that HBO Max is developing a drama series based on the life of Hollywood madame, Heidi Fleiss. Fleiss will serve as a consultant on the project.

NEIL PATRICK HARRIS TO RETURN TO 'HIMYF': Neil Patrick Harris will return to Hulu's How I Met Your Father. Deadline reports he will return as his HIMYM character Barney Stinson in the upcoming Season 2 midseason finale.

According to Page Six, Nick Lachey has been ordered to attend anger management classes and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for accosting paparazzo Jody Santos in March of 2022.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office told the outlet in a statement Tuesday (March 21st), "Mr. Lachey has not been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery. Instead he is participating in LADA's Prefiling Diversion program, which was established in 2017."

The statement continued, "As part of these conditions he must participate in anger management classes and attend Alcoholic Anonymous meetings. Successful completion of the Prefiling Diversion Program will result in no criminal charges being filed."

Santos told the publication she was in her car photographing the Love is Blind host and his wife, Vanessa Lachey, after they left dinner on March 27th, 2022. "In all my years of photographing celebrities, no one has ever tried to hit me," she said, adding that she rolled up her car window "as fast" as she "could."

"He then started punching the window. I thought he was going to break his hand; that's how hard he was hitting the glass," she added. "I am surprised he didn't shatter the window."

Gwyneth Paltrow appeared in court on Tuesday (March 21st) to defend herself against retired optometrist Terry Sanderson over an alleged ski accident that took place at the Deer Valley Ski Resort near Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2016.

According to court documents, Sanderson claims Paltrow's skiing was "out of control" as she hit him in the back, "knocking him down hard, knocking him out, and causing a brain injury, four broken ribs and other serious injuries." He originally sued Paltrow for $3.1 million, but a judge ruled that he can only seek $300,000 in damages.

The Shakespeare in Love actress is denying Sanderson's claims. Instead, she says he was the one who crashed into her on the slopes, causing her to experience a "full ‘body blow.'" The Goop founder is seeking $1 in damages in her counterclaim suit, with the addition of legal fees. She believes Sanderson's lawsuit is "an attempt to exploit her celebrity and wealth."

The trial is expected to continue through the end of March.

Halle Bailey spoke with PopSugar in an interview published Tuesday (March 21st) about her starring role as Ariel in the Disney live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. The film is set to reach theaters on May 26th.

"It's about time that a role like this is played by a Black woman, by somebody who is just a part of this beautiful community. We deserve to have images that look like us and to see ourselves in the media on big screens and everything," she said. "So I'm just grateful that we're getting to see ourselves finally on such big projects."

CAMERON DIAZ IS REPORTEDLY QUITTING ACTING AGAIN AFTER FINISHING NEW MOVIE WITH JAMIE FOXX: The Daily Mail reports that things aren't going so well on the set of Back in Action, the new movie starring Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx. Foxx allegedly had a tantrum while filming, and a source told the outlet, "These back-to-back 10-hour workdays have been a lot on Diaz and she hates being away from Raddix." The Charlie's Angels actress announced that she was retiring from acting a year before welcoming Raddix to the world in 2019. "Although she has gotten to see her family while shooting the film, it is just not the same," the source added.

WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘PRETTY BABY:' According to People, the official trailer for the Hulu documentary Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields was released on Tuesday (March 21st). "The entirety of my life it was, 'she's a pretty face,' over and over and over and over again, and that always seared me," Shields says in the preview. The two-part documentary is expected to hit the streaming platform on April 3rd.

BRIAN COX SAYS HE'S ‘ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED' THAT ‘SUCCESION' IS ENDING: At the season four premiere of Succession Monday night (March 20th), Brian Cox told Entertainment Tonight he's "more than ready" for the show to end. "I think we've, you know, got to the point where the show has reached its natural closure," he said. Cox added that he's "absolutely delighted" to wrap up the project. "In a good way, I'm happy it's over."

Amanda Bynes was placed on a psychiatric hold in California Monday (March 20th). A source told Today that she will be held for 72 hours, and that she "hasn't been in contact with her family for quite some time." Page Six reports that Bynes was allegedly walking around downtown Los Angeles naked, before she flagged down a car and told them she was having a psychiatric episode.

This news comes nearly a year after the She's the Man star ended her conservatorship—and shortly after she missed the All That cast reunion at ‘90s Con over the weekend. The reunion would have marked Bynes' first public appearance since her conservatorship ended in March of 2022.

Her former costar Kel Mitchell spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the What a Girl Wants star's absence, prior to the reports of her psychiatric hold. "I've just been praying for her. It's awesome to see she's doing better. Which is great. We're just continuing to pray for her on her journey, and it's answered prayers that she's doing a lot better," he said.

Bynes had been in a personal conservatorship since 2013, and her parents supported the decision to dissolve it. "In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter," she said at the time.

Rachel Zegler is addressing the criticism faced by her new film, Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The movie fell short of its projections at the domestic box office and currently has a 52% Rotten Tomatoes rating from critics.

"hey our film is actually really good! but mostly i just absolutely loved making it and the people i met whilst doing so :) go see it! give it a chance. we have an 85% audience score for a reason," the West Side Story actress wrote on Twitter.

At the South By Southwest premiere of Air over the weekend, Ben Affleck said he consulted Michael Jordan about casting for the film. The basketball superstar had only one person in mind when it came to who would play his mother.

"I got the script and had the chance again to talk to Michael," Affleck said. "Michael Jordan is, for those of you who don't know, the most intimidating, impressive man you'll ever see in real life."

Jason Sudeikis and the cast of Ted Lasso appeared at a White House press briefing on Monday (March 20th) to address the issue of mental health. Sudeikis took the podium as his costars stood behind him.

‘SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS' DIRECTOR IS ‘DEFINITELY DONE WITH SUPERHEROES' FOLLOWING THE FILM'S NEGATIVE REVIEWS: Shazam! Fury of the Gods director David F. Sandberg took to Twitter Monday (March 20th) to address critics' response to the new movie. "On Rotten Tomatoes I just got my lowest critic score and my highest audience score on the same film … I wasn't expecting a repeat of the first movie critically but I was still a little surprised because I think it's a good film. JULIANNE HOUGH TO CO-HOST ‘DANCING WITH THE STARS:' According to Variety, Dancing with the Stars alum Julianna Hough will be returning to the show to co-host the 32nd season alongside Alfonso Ribeiro. This comes after Tyra Banks announced she would not be returning next season. "It is such an honor to be rejoining ‘Dancing with the Stars' as co-host. The show holds such a special place in my heart from the many years and different roles I have had the privilege of being a part of," Hough said in a statement.

Lance Reddick passed away unexpectedly on Friday (March 17th) at the age of 60. According to his rep, he died of natural causes.

Reddick is most known for his work on The Wire and in the John Wick movie franchise. He also held roles on shows such as Fringe, Bosch, Lost, Oz, and Resident Evil.

Stars such as Idris Elba, Halle Berry, Ben Stiller, Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan all paid tribute to the late actor on social media.

Elba, who starred on The Wire with Reddick, said in a video on his Instagram story, "Lance really was the guy. I love him, and I miss him…I don't give a f--- what anyone has to say, he killed that role as an actor. I'm f------g crying right now, heart bleeding for my guy because he f------g went in for us."

Reddick's wife Stephanie shared a post to his Instagram account on Saturday (March 18th). "Lance was taken from us far too soon. Thank you for all your overwhelming love, support and beautiful stories shared on these platforms over the last day," she wrote.

Bruce Willis turned 68 on Sunday (March 19th), marking the Die Hard actor's first birthday since receiving his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis. His wife, Emma Heming Willis, took to her Instagram stories to share how she was feeling.

"Today is my husband's birthday. I have started the morning by crying as you can see by my swollen eyes and snotty nose," she said in a video. "I just think it's important that you see all sides of this."

She continued, "I always get this message or people always tell me, 'Oh, you're so strong. I don't know how you do it.' I'm not given a choice. I wish I was, but I'm also raising two kids in this."

On Friday (March 17th), The Guardian published an interview with Sam Neill, during which the Jurassic Park actor revealed that he had been diagnosed with stage three angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma—a blood cancer.

Neill began a "very expensive" chemotherapy treatment in 2022. "I'm not off the hook as such, but there's no cancer in my body," he told the outlet.

Following this, he shared a video to Instagram Saturday (March 18th), assuring fans that he's "alive and kicking," and that he's been in remission for eight months.

"My news seems to be all over the news at the moment, and it's sort of ‘Cancer ! Cancer! Cancer !' Which is slightly tiresome because as you see, I am alive and well and I have been in remission for eight months, which feels really good," Neill said in the video. "I'm alive and kicking and I'm going to work."

According to Deadline, projections were low to start with at $35 million for Shazam! Fury Of The Gods' opening weekend, but it appears the sequel didn't even reach that goalpost. The film brought in just $30.5 million, down 43% from the original film's opening at $53.5 million in 2019. Scream VI took second place with $17.5 million, and Creed III followed close behind with $15.3 million.

McCreary has starred as Maggie Pierce, Meredith Grey's half-sister, since season 10. This news comes just months after Ellen Pompeo announced her exit. McCreary took to Instagram on Friday (March 17th) to say goodbye. ‘MEAN GIRLS' WRITER BLASTS TINA FEY OVER UNPAID DUES: Mean Girls was inspired by Rosalind Wiseman's book Queen Bees and Wannabes, but the author told The New York Post recently that Tina Fey and Paramount owe her unpaid dues—and that she is considering taking legal action. Wiseman sold her film rights in 2002 for $400,000, but her contract allegedly included residual gains. However, she claims Paramount says the franchise has made no net profits. "Yes, I had a terrible contract, but the movie has made so much money, and they keep recycling my work over and over again, so to not even consider me," she told the outlet. "Over the years Tina's spoken so eloquently about women supporting other women, but it's gotten increasingly clear to me that, in my own personal experience, that's not going to be the experience."
