Silencing Smartphones Can Lead To More Stress

Chattanooga, TN – The Pulse:
Suffering from FOMO? Silencing your phone might make it worse, according to a study published in Computers in Human Behavior.
138 iPhone users completed a survey to determine whether or not they suffered from FOMO, also known as Fear of Missing Out.
Individuals with high FOMO scores tended to use their phones more often, and had higher feelings of stress when their phones were muted. (UPI)
