Look On The Bright Side: Optimists Live Longer

Chattanooga, TN – The Pulse:
A new study shows that higher levels of optimism are associated with a greater chance of living past 90. A study of 160,000 women of various backgrounds found that these results were significant even when health conditions, socioeconomic status, and poor diet were taken into account.
Optimists tend to believe they have control over their fate and opportunities, and it’s estimated that about 25% of our outlook is determined by genetics…meaning we may be able to train ourselves to be more positive. (CNN)
