Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody Plans To Retire After The Band’s Next Album

Five Finger Death Punch vocalist Ivan Moody has announced that he plans to retire after the band’s next album. During a concert in Denver, CO this past weekend, Moody said, “The last 15 years of my life I have toured the world. And through that time as many of you parents know—hard workers—I have missed a lot of time with my kiddos. So I made them a deal today, and I’m going to stick to it. After this year, I am going to make one more Five Finger Death Punch album and then I am retiring from heavy metal.

In other news, Five Finger Death Punch’s set at the USANA Amphitheater in West Valley City, UT was cut short on Saturday night (October 15th) after the band was eight songs in. The band had to cancel their performance halfway through after the power to venue was knocked out by a drunk driver. The band’s guitarist Zoltan Bathory commented of the matter on social media: “Salt Lake City started out as an incredible show with 20,000 fans … this was going off when a drunk driver hit a transformer down the road and knocked out the power for the whole area one more reason to not drink and drive… you screwed up 20,000 people’s day.”
