As I Lay Dying's Tim Lambesis has tied the knot for the third time.

The wedding comes eight years after he was convicted of hiring someone to kill his first wife.

The rocker married model Dany Ciara on Saturday (June 4th) in a "small ceremony on the beach."

He shared images on Instagram Monday (June 6th), writing, "On Saturday I married my best friend. We set up a small ceremony on the beach with the help of close family and friends. Every detail of the day came together so well, but more importantly I have an incredible foundation of love for a lifetime with @danylambesis. I'm excited for every adventure ahead with the love of my life"

Gene Simmons: Ace Frehley & Peter Criss Have Turned Down Offers To Join Kiss Onstage

Gene Simmons revealed that both Ace Frehley and Peter Criss have passed on making cameos with Kiss on their ongoing farewell tour. Simmons spoke to Classic Rock about the two co-founders in relation to the band's "End Of The Road Tour" and explained, "I was hoping that Ace and Peter, at least for that, would be with us. It would be the saddest thing of all if they chose not to be there. But such is life. I hope and wish they'll get over the victim, 'look what happened to me.' No, nothing happened to you. These were all decisions you made. They were in and out of the band three different times. Can you believe that? How many chances in life do you want? That's the saddest thing."

Simmons went on to say, "There are fans that are still angry with us about Ace and Peter. They just don't understand. I personally have asked Ace and Peter a number of times: 'Hey, this is the last time around. We've still got another hundred cities or so to go. Why don't you jump on stage with us?' And they said no. . . More than once."

Paul Stanley added, "It would be great to have Ace and/or Peter participate at some point if they were interested, and if their requests or demands were realistic and not disruptive to the overall spirit of this tour."

When pressed as to whether this is truly Kiss' final go-'round -- especially in view of 2000's already billed "farewell" tour, Stanley was quick to explain: "Circumstances are very different. When we did that farewell tour, we in essence drank our own Kool-Aid. The idea that the band couldn't continue without the four original members was absurd. Frankly, we were miserable as a foursome. It was horrible. It turned into years of drudgery and uncertainty whether everybody was going to make it to the lobby, let alone the stage. And so what we were basically doing was putting down the horse. Gene and I just felt: 'Okay, we need to stop.' And then it dawned on me that people didn't want us gone, and we didn't actually want to be gone. We didn't want to say farewell to the band, we wanted to say farewell to two members."

Paul Stanley told that as excited as he is to perform with Kiss, wrapping up the band's life on the road is far from being a heartbreaking event for him: "There's nothing bittersweet about this tour -- it's all sweet. What I've been given and what we've accomplished, and how we've been rewarded is indescribable. And look, I'm not Yoda -- I'm gonna say the end of something is the beginning of something else. I'm not going to change who I am and I'm not going to change my trajectory, and everything will go on."

Kiss performs tonight (June 7th) in Paris at Accor Arena.

Their next U.S. show is set for September 21st at West Palm Beach's IThink Financial Amphitheatre.

Guns N' Roses Offer Up Surprises At Tour Kickoff

Guns N' Roses are back on the road in Europe and kicked off the tour on June 4th in Lisbon, Portugal. Ultimate Classic Rock reported the band covered AC/DC's 1979 Highway To Hell classic "Walk All Over You," and took a few deep dives into their own back catalogue.

Among the highlights of the show was the band's Appetite For Destruction favorite, "You're Crazy," which was played for the first time since 1991 and their 1986 track "Reckless Life" getting its first live airing since 1993.

Guns N' Roses co-founders Slash and Duff McKagan have decades of history together and Slash told us a while back that he and Duff have always had an undeniable chemistry. "When we first met, Duff came in with, for one, just the greatest f***ing work ethic and a kind of personality that's just totally resilient, which sort of mirrors what I'm about. And then as far as being a player, he has an approach that just goes right in sync with what I do as a guitar player, and we just hit it off as friends, as musicians, ever since the beginning, and it stayed all the way through this whole time."

Guns N' Roses next perform on June 7th in Seville, Spain at Estadio Benito Villamarin. The band will be on the road in Europe, South America, Mexico, and Down Under through December.

Maynard James Keenan Is Anti-Social Media

Maynard James Keenan is not a fan of social media.

The Tool and Puscifer vocalist recently told azcentral.com that he thinks socializing online can cause some ugly habits.

He said, "I don't want to be the old dude blaming the new stuff. But that really is part of the issue. Social media technology. And the isolation of being able to voice every uninformed opinion that you've ever had or come across. I don't know if there's any way out until somehow it all gets unplugged for a reset."

He continued, "It's very comfortable from your living room to run your mouth. But when you actually have to see the situations in real time or have to talk to the person across from you, we tend to be a bit more civil. You might be the big tough guy, but eventually there's a bigger tougher guy who doesn't agree with you. So at some point, you're sort of going, ‘OK, maybe we should be cool to each other instead of running our mouths.'"

Keenan is about to embark on a summer tour with Puscifer. Their first stop will be in Las Vegas on June 9th.

Michael Anthony Sheds Light On Possible Van Halen Tribute Reunion

Ousted Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony shed light on his previous talks with Alex Van Halen and David Lee Roth to perform with them in tribute of the late-Eddie Van Halen.

Blabbermouth transcribed some of Anthony's chat on SiriusXM's Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, in which he explained, "I haven't spoken to him in a little while, but I have spoken with Alex on occasion. And for the most part, we don't even speak that much about music -- more about just family, how we're doing and stuff like that. I know it still pains him a lot as far as Eddie goes and will probably for the rest of his life. But I spoke with him and Dave last year about a possible something, but Dave just starts going (talking really fast) And I'm, like, 'Okay.' And we basically just had kind of a conference call about having a conference call to discuss it, and then that other call didn't happen for whatever reason on their end."

He added: "I told them that I'd obviously be interested. And it would be more like a celebration of the music rather than putting together something and calling it Van Halen because that just wouldn't be right at this point. . . (It) hinges upon Alex."

In regard to Jason Newsted's recent revelation to The Palm Beach Post that he was being tapped to play bass for the reunited Van Halen at one point, Michael Anthony said, "That's the first that I'd even heard about anything like that. And it was kind of interesting because he said he spoke to (Dave and Alex) about a year ago, and that's about the time I was speaking with them. So I don't know. I'm gonna have to call Jason and ask him (laughs.)"

Back in 2007, David Lee Roth rejoined Van Halen and Michael Anthony was replaced by Wolfgang Van Halen -- a move Sammy Hagar said at the time was a misstep -- to say the least: "Anyone in their right mind would know if you're gonna get Roth back -- finally! -- after all these abortions they've had, you get Mikey and you do the reunion tour, what the world really was waiting for. Not just f*** it up again. It's almost like they don't care about their fans. They just want to badger 'em until -- see how much they'll take."

Original Bon Jovi Bassist Alec John Such Dead At 70

Original Bon Jovi bassist, Alec John Such, has died at age 70 according to Variety. The cause of death for Such, who left the group in 1994, remains unknown. Such was on hand in 2018 when Bon Jovi was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and reunited to play with the band.

Jon Bon Jovi said in a statement on Instagram: "We are heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of our dear friend Alec John Such. He was an original. As a founding member of Bon Jovi, Alec was integral to the formation of the band. . . To be honest, we found our way to each other thru him -- He was a childhood friend of Tico (Torres) and brought Richie (Sambora) to see us perform. Alec was always wild and full of life. Today these special memories bring a smile to my face and a tear to my eye. We will miss him dearly."

Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan tweeted: "RIP my soul brother…. It was an honor and pleasure to share the stage and to share life with you….."

Such was born in 1951 in Yonkers, New York, and by the early-'80s was managing the Hunka Bunka Ballroom in Bon Jovi's hometown of Sayreville, New Jersey. After watching his band Jon Bon Jovi & The Wild Ones, Such hooked Bon Jovi up with childhood friend and drummer Tico Torres -- as well as his former bandmate, guitarist Richie Sambora. Along with Bon Jovi's buddy and keyboardist David Bryan, Bon Jovi was born.

Alec John Such performed on Bon Jovi's first five albums -- Bon Jovi (1984), 7800° Fahrenheit (1985), Slippery When Wet (1986), New Jersey (1988), and Keep The Faith (1992). His bass work can be heard on such rock classics as "You Give Love A Bad Name," "Livin' On A Prayer," "Wanted Dead Or Alive," "Lay Your Hands On Me," "Bad Medicine," "Born To Be My Baby," "I'll Be There For You," "Keep The Faith," and "Bed Of Roses" among others. Such was replaced by bassist Hugh McDonald, who became an official member of Bon Jovi in 2016.

During his 2018 Rock Hall acceptance speech, Alec John Such recalled: "When Jon Bon Jovi called me up and asked me to be in his band many years ago, I soon realized how serious he was and he had a vision that he wanted to bring us to, and I am too happy to have been a part of that vision. These guys are the best. We had so many great times together and we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for those guys. Love them to death and always will."

Just prior to Bon Jovi's long awaited Rock Hall induction, Jon Bon Jovi told us how important Alec John Such was in the formation and foundation of the classic Bon Jovi lineup: "Y'know, I had always envisioned my inviting Al because he believed in me when I just had 'Runaway' on the radio in 1983 and put this thing together. Y'know, I asked these guys to help me out for a couple of weeks so I could continue to build my name and take advantage of the success of 'Runaway.' And Alec said, 'Of course.' And, y'know, he's the one that introduced me to Richie and ultimately to Tico. So, I always envisioned my inviting him to this and absolutely will fulfill that."

They wrote: "The band is committed to returning full force in Stockholm and playing next weekend in Barcelona. We deeply apologize."

The band is already in Barcelona, with the exception of one of its members, who can't travel due to health reasons.

Other than the Boston show, The Strokes also had to cancel their New Year's Eve concert in Brooklyn due to covid.

TL;DR:

  • The Strokes canceled another show due to Covid.
  • It was their headlining set for tonight's (June 3) Primavera Sound Festival because of Covid.

Slipknot Pauses Concert To Make Sure Fan Was Okay

During a concert on Wednesday night (June 1st) in Cincinatti, Ohio, Slipknot stopped their performance so that Corey Taylor could direct EMTs to a fan in the crowd who appeared to be in need of medical attention. Taylor told the band, "Hold on. Hold on guys, hold on. Guys we got something going on right there. Can we get EMTs in there? Everybody back up, give some room. Give some room, make sure they can get in."

Once the singer confirmed that the fan had been safely escorted out of the crowd, he said, "I just want to make sure they get somewhere where they can get looked at, guys, I promise," and he thanked the audience for cooperating and being patient.

Judas Priest Kick Off European Dates Sans Leather And Studs

A Judas Priest concert without leather and studs??? According to Blabbermouth -- that's just what fans got at the band's May 31st European tour kick off at Berlin, Germany's 1,600-capacity Huxleys Neue Welt.

Priest Richie Faulkner guitarist posted a message to fans on social media, which read:

Last night in berlin was glorious and something I've never done with the band before. No leather, no studs. No screens, no motorbike. No massive light show or inflatable Birmingham bull. Exposed speakers, just jeans, t-shirts, a small club and it was all purely about the music. All of us together and the raw power of the music. It was truly a great experience and one I'd love to do again sometime.

It's great when you strip it all back to what it's all about, the music and the people of our great heavy metal community. Thank you all for making it such a special night.

Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford told us that an unexplainable transition occurs prior to him hitting the stage, which turns from soft-spoken, mild mannered man offstage to "Metal God" by showtime: "Something happens -- I don't know what it is. It's kind of intangible. It's probably best left unanalyzed, because it might be (laughs) too scary to find out what the hell's going on. I know that something takes over -- that's just the full extent of the passion that I have for my music, and the fact that to some extent, it's always been my therapy."

Def Leppard Still Believes In The Art Of Albums

Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott says the band still believes in the art of the long form, full-album format. Blabbermouth reported that Elliott spoke in depth about the band in the current issue of Rock Candy magazine and explained why creating full-length LP's still works for the band and its fans: "When we got together in 2014 we noticed a trend of people releasing one song a month. They might bang them all together on an album two years later. Other people were just doing EP's."

Elliott went on to explain, "Maybe for a younger generation, an album isn't important, because they didn't grow up when it was. But we did. We grew up in the era of (The Rise And Fall Of) Ziggy Stardust (And The Spiders From Mars), (The) Dark Side Of The Moon, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road -- the greatest double album of all time, in my humble opinion. That's where we come from. You can't unscramble an egg. We invested in laying on the bed and looking at the sleeve, reading every word."

Joe Elliott, who's thrilled with the reaction Leppard's new album Diamond Star Halos has received, remains realistic about presenting new music in concert: "I don't think many legacy artists perform new music. We do. We play new stuff, but it's horses for courses. Leppard fans want 'Photograph.' They want 'Pour Some Sugar. . .' Only a fool goes, 'I'm gonna play you my entire new album.' Anyone who goes, 'Here are 12 songs from my new album' is going to clear the dance floor. Don't batter people with the new s***. If it's good enough, let it become part of the set further down the road."

We caught up with Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen who's celebrating his 40th year as an integral part of the Rock Hall inductees: "It just flies by. I know more than I did the day before and we, we kind of take that approach with the band. It's like, y'know, I honestly think so many artists and bands don't reach their full potential, 'cause they actually give up before that happens. And I think will all that experience and everything that we've had in 40-odd-years, if you can apply that moving forward, then you're way ahead of the game than anyone else because they never get to reach that magical period."

As you're aware by now, we have had to miss the last few shows of our tour because Danny has suffered from a severe throat infection. Unfortunately, the news we received was not the news we were hoping for and we have been told that Danny cannot sing for the next few weeks and needs to remain on vocal rest."

Motley Crue Won't Allow Guests Backstage On Tour

Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx took to social media explaining why the band will not be allowing fans backstage on the upcoming "Stadium Tour" for "meet & greets."

Sixx tweeted to fans, "It's been exhausting trying to explain to people why we can't have guests backstage. Our fans have waited almost 3 years for this tour. If one of us got Covid and had to cancel the show can you imagine the disappointment? We're not here to take f***ing selfies. This is for the fans."

"The Stadium Tour" -- featuring the Crue, co-headliners Def Leppard, along with Poison, and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts -- kicks off on June 16th at Atlanta's SunTrust Park. The 25-city trek will wrap on September 9th at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium.

Nikki Sixx told us that Motley Crue always has one goal whenever it goes onstage: "If we're the greatest we can be, that's exciting, and that's what I believe that Mick (Mars) and Tommy (Lee) and Vince (Neil) all want too. They want to be the greatest rock band that Motley Crue can be. That's why we always try to come up with new, twisted versions of our production, and I think our shows are so potent and, I think, contagious. It's fun and it's horrifying all at the same time."

Wolfgang Van Halen Trashes Reelz Doc On Eddie's Death

Wolfgang Van Halen took to Twitter to trash this weekend's Reelz Channel Autopsy episode focusing on Eddie Han Halen's death. Autopsy: The Last Hours Of Eddie Van Halen will premiere on Sunday, June 5th at 8 p.m. ET. Van Halen died on October 6th, 2020 at age 65 after years of battling throat cancer.

Wolfgang linked to a Blabbermouth article reporting on the show and Tweeted: "F*** Reelz Channel, f*** everyone that works on this show, and f*** you if you watch it. F***ing disgusting trying to glamorize someone's death from cancer. Pathetic and heartless."

Being the caretaker of his father's legacy is something that Wolfgang Van Halen takes extremely seriously. Not too long ago, he told us that fans shouldn't bank on seeing any Eddie Van Halen tribute projects emerging from the vast tape archive he left behind.

Wolf, who is now in charge of his late-father's unreleased work housed at his 5150 California studio, explained that the process to get everything adequately cataloged is his first priority -- not getting new product out ASAP: "That's not gonna happen for a long time -- even without the intention of release, I want to -- at the every least -- archive it properly and digitize it so everything is safe for years to come. Because it's going to be an incredibly difficult process -- and a very long process to properly. . . just get the material off the old tapes, that I wanna do it right."

Bad Wolves Announces New Guitarist Max Karon

Bad Wolves has announced the addition of guitarist Max Karon. Max joined the band as the replacement for Chris Cain, who exited the band earlier this year.

The band wrote via social media, It's with great excitement that we announce our new permanent guitar player: Max Karon. The funny thing is that Max isn't new to us, he started the band with founder John Boecklin in 2014 and was a major writer/player on all three Bad Wolves albums."

The band continued, "Being a key ingredient to the Bad Wolves sound, this was a no-brainer decision. There is no other person on this earth that would be a better fit for Bad Wolves than Max."

Maneskin Drop New Video For 'Supermodel'

Maneskin released a video for "Supermodel." Filmed in London, it pays tribute to some of the band's favorite films from the 1990's.

After they came up with the idea, they worked to recreate frame shots and sequences from the movies. Frontman Damiano David said, "We had so much fun filming it in London, playing funny scenes that reminded us of a detective B-movie."

The song itself is loosely based on characters they met while in Los Angeles

About that, the band said, "At times we were surprised yet intrigued to find how people cared so much about the idea of ‘celebrity' and status, obsessing over their looks and connections."

They described the video as a cinematic visual that's one part Tarantino and one part Hitchcock. It captures the song's fierce mood and playful lyrics as a series of catastrophic events unfold.

TL;DR:

  • Maneskin released a video for "Supermodel."
  • It was filmed in London and pays tribute to some of the band's favorite films from the 1990's.
  • Frontman Damiano David said, "We had so much fun filming it in London, playing funny scenes that reminded us of a detective B-movie."

Eddie Van Halen 'Autopsy' Episode Airs Thie Weekend

The late-Eddie Van Halen is the latest rock legend to have their death examined by the Reelz network. Blabbermouth reported Autopsy: The Last Hours Of Eddie Van Halen will premiere on Sunday, June 5th at 8 p.m. ET. Van Halen died on October 6th, 2020 at age 65 after years of battling throat cancer.

According to the show's official description, "He was a workaholic often pushing his body to the limits in order to perform while secretly battling illness. . . But if caught early Eddie's disease had reasonable survival rates so what exactly happened? Now renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Hunter will analyze every detail of his life in order to piece together what else may have been going on in his body, ultimately leading to his untimely death."

Slash -- a close friend and longtime fan -- believes that although Eddie Van Halen has been lauded for his groundbreaking physicality -- a lot of the guitarists that followed in his wake, failed to pick up on the subtleties that made him so unique: "I don't think anybody's had as much an influence. Every kid on the block was learning Van Halen licks. In between all the technical prowess that Eddie had, there was a killer blues thing. Everybody that emulated it, nobody ever got that part. They had the hammer-ons, they had the tremelo bar stuff, and all that kind of crap -- but they never got the most important was all the really tasty stuff that was in-between. And just, like, the melodic stuff where all the soul was coming from."

Robert Plant & Alison Krauss Back On The Road Tonight

Robert Plant & Alison Krauss kick off their 2022 tour dates tonight (June 1st) at Canandaigua, New York's CMAC. The duo is on the road in support of their second joint album, Raise The Roof. The set was released last November 19th and topped Billboard's Independent Albums chart, hit Number Three on the magazine's Top Country Albums list, and reached Number Seven on the Billboard 200.

Not too long ago, Robert Plant shed light on what propels his collaboration with Alison Krauss: "The great thing is -- there's so much heart. That's the great thing. I feel so hearty. Y'know, that's really quite something with all the, kind of, life I've had and the adventures. Y'know, it isn't exactly what Alison's used to -- it's certainly not what I'm used to -- and (producer) T-Bone (Burnett) is, kind of, he's just like the magician moving it around. It's great, yeah."

With the incredible success of his 2007 Raising Sand collaboration with Krauss, Plant fully committed to his current organic and folk-based musical direction: "I hate to say it, but it felt young. It felt like I didn't know what was going to happen next, and it didn't really matter -- and that was the great thing. I know the songs that I like and the songs that I always attach myself to have been of a certain genre, if they're not self-penned. And I was in very good company with people who had a very familiar lean in the same direction."

Frontman Damiano David told the outlet, "We're not new in that thousands of bands have played as good as us or even better, but nowadays it's unexpected to see a band break globally. People are fascinated by that, and Americans are obsessed with Italians. That adds some spice."

Guitarist Thomas Raggi added, "It's hard for Americans to find an Italian band that makes it over there and plays a real instrument. It's something weird."

The two also agreed that the most surreal thing about their breakthrough was having breafast at Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson's house.

Davis said, "Yeah, Dakota Johnson cooked eggs for us, Sean Penn was there. It was wild."
