Chattanooga, TN – The Pulse:

Alanis Morissette shared that she will release a vinyl version of her 2005 greatest hits album, The Collection.

It includes songs she recorded between 1995 and 2005. Some are well-known singles and several are soundtrack selections.

Five songs from her 1995 debut #1 album, Jagged Little Pill, appear on the set, including “You Oughta Know,” “Ironic,” and “You Learn.” That album earned her five Grammy awards.

The project will be available on August 25th as 2 LPs on black vinyl, with a transparent grape-vinyl version available exclusively from Target. There will also be a crystal-clear version at local indie retailers.

Morissette made the announcement on her 49th birthday on Thursday, (June 1).
