Iowa Man Arrested For Exposing Himself To Traffic On Two Interstates

Danan Ary faces two indecent exposure charges after police say he exposed himself to passing vehicles on separate occasions last month near Iowa City. Officers report Ary, 30, stood behind his 2012 Chevrolet Impala with his pants and underwear at his ankles and shirt lifted, exposing his genitals and abdomen to oncoming traffic on two different interstates. When questioned, Ary confessed to the incidents and told police “this behavior was fulfilling as ‘excitement’ that was currently missing in his ‘blah’ life,” according to criminal complaints. Investigators noted Ary acknowledged the behavior was “inappropriate and unacceptable as well as offensive to others within view.” Ary was arrested Wednesday and held on $5,000 bond at Johnson County jail before being transferred to state prison for violating probation terms from a prior felony conviction.
