French actor Tchéky Karyo, best known for his roles in the BBC dramas The Missing and Baptiste, died of cancer on Oct. 31st at 72. He began his career with the Daniel Sorano Company and the National Theatre of Strasbourg before gaining attention in Hollywood films including Bad Boys, GoldenEye, The Patriot, and Addicted to Love. Sony Pictures has confirmed that Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, Aimee Lou Wood and Mia McKenna-Bruce will star in The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event. Warner Bros. Pictures is finalizing a deal to acquire Shiver, a new science fiction project starring Keanu Reeves and directed by Deadpool filmmaker Tim Miller. MTV has canceled Ridiculousness after 14 years and 46 seasons. The comedy clip show, hosted by Rob Dyrdek, will air previously filmed episodes through 2026, but no new ones will be produced. Claire Danes and Ewan McGregor will headline Hulu’s new drama series The Spot, written and led by Ed Solomon. Danes joined the project after Kate Winslet departed in June due to reported creative differences.
