Carrie Underwood Becomes Top RIAA-Certified Female Country Artist

Carrie Underwood has earned the title of highest RIAA-certified female country artist in history. The Recording Industry Association of America recognized her for over 95 million certified units in the United States. This includes 22.5 million albums and 72.5 million singles from solo work and collaborations. Her certifications feature the 9x Platinum debut album Some Hearts and 11x Platinum single “Before He Cheats.” Other notable certifications include 5x Platinum “Blown Away” and 4x Platinum “Cowboy Casanova.” “Accomplishments like this are more than I would have ever dared to dream of when I was starting out,” Underwood said. “I owe everything to the fans.” The eight-time Grammy winner has collected 16 ACM Awards, 17 American Music Awards, and seven CMA Awards throughout her career.
