Anora was crowned Best Picture of 2024 at the Critics Choice Awards gala, while the cast of Conclave won Best Acting Ensemble and Best Adapted Screenplay. Adrien Brody and Demi Moore took home the awards for Best Actor and Best Actress in a Film, respectively, and their films The Brutalist and The Substance also scored screenplay accolades. Other winners included Zoe Saldana for Best Supporting Actress (Emilia Perez), Kieran Culkin for Best Supporting Actor (A Real Pain), and The Wild Robot for Best Animated Feature. On the TV side, Baby Reindeer, Penguin, Shogun, and Hacks were among the series to receive recognition. Chelsea Handler hosted the event. (UPI)
